Time is approximateHigh Road-Wood Green, Turnpike Lane to Hornsey High Street
,
The Flame will be carried along Lordship Lane towards Wood Green High Road, down to Turnpike Lane and onto Hornsey High Street, to Priory Road and finally up the hill at Alexandra Palace Way to arrive at Alexandra Palace at approximately 6.45pm
I see there is no mention of the proposed development of number 32 Alexandra Road, which is going to be converted into eight flats. Now that what i call over development.
Today I received a leaflet at my Alexandra Road residence about the AGM and *** Help *** about HEARTLANDS planning application. Please correct your soft copies and references on your website about the application number. I tried HYG/2009/0503 which does not work. It should be HGY/2009/0503 because HGY is the shortform for Haringey not HYG.
Hi again
Unfortunately I can’t make the meeting again as it’s evening. I did vote on the times, but can’t see where that is now.
I have contacted the council directly about the lack of crossing to the foot tunnel but no joy. Did you manage to raise it?
Thanks
Thanks for your comment!
It’s a difficult situation as earlier meetings are also a problem for many people.
Perhaps someone wants to organise a daytime meeting for those who find that easier to attend? We are happy to supply space on the web site to anyone who wants to get the ball rolling!
Another opportunity is to pop along and join us for our Garden Project, we meet every first Saturday of each month at 10am, everybody is welcome for a chat and to meet their neighbours, tea break is great to catch up on the latest local news and to discuss local issues.
Please also vote in our poll in this matter (right sidebar on the home page).
I am not able to make the evening meetings as I have 2 small children.
I wonder if there are other people like me who used to be/would like to be involved but are similarly confined at home in the evenings?
Could it be possible to have occasional daytime meetings so that we can be involved, and to widen access to a different group of local residents (I am thinking also of the elderly and others who find evening meetings difficult).
I am concerned about the lack of crossings on the spine road. Next time there is discussion with the council about the use of this road and the hope that it will become better used, would it be possible to add this in? The tunnel under the railway is used by many people, particularly at rush hour, including children coming from Hornsey to Alexandra primary, as well as by people (myself included) going over to schools the other side. It seems logical that a foot tunnel terminating at a main road should have some kind of crossing facility! This will become increasingly important as the road (hopefully) becomes better used, particulalry as the tunnel joins the road on a nasty bend.
Many thanks
Julia
