Christmas Quiz

The tombola was as always popular and raised some welcome funds for the associations.

It may have been ‘Bleak Mid Winter’ but, with the heating turned up we were all toasty warm for our ‘quiz of the year’. In a close fought contest, the winning team, the appropriately named "Christmas Crackers", generously donated their winnings to the two host associations. As usual, there was a wonderful spread of food and treats – thank you to all who contributed. Our thanks also must go to Fr. Simon for the hall (beautifully decorated as well as warm), Hazel and her team for organising the evening (with help from Dorothy at our end), all those who donated prizes to the tombola (and Morrisons in particular) and Tim and the team from the Big Green Bookshop, who appeared in several guises over the evening including question setter, quizmaster and bar manager.

Thanks to everyone who came or helped in the organising. It was, as ever a great evening. We look forward to many more to come.
